Damayantha Kuruppu who owns DK Promotions presented his very first concert in May 1975 at the Nawaraghala. It was titled Super Concert with Milton Mallarachchi and Super Golden Chimes.This incidentally was Miltons first solo concert.
In 1999 presentation of musical concerts by DK Promotions recommenced with Tribute to Clarence which was a fundraiser for Old Anandians Sports Club. This was followed by “70`s to the Millennium“ and “Back to the 70`s“.
In 2004 DK Promotions made a major breakthrough in the local music scene with the presentation of “The Original Jetliners reunion concert“ back to back sold out shows at the BMICH. In 2005 DK Promotions was responsible for bringing popular singer Lobo and his band for a concert at the Water’s Edge. This was the opening of several international concerts that followed. Some of the International concerts presented by DK Promotions to date are Sir Cliff Richard live in concert (2007) Daniel O’Donnell and Mary Duff live in Sri Lanka (2014,2016& 2019) Mary Duff in concert (2015), Jordan Morgey in Concert (2016), Kenny Wizz Michael Jackson impersonator show, Motown show, Eagles Experience (2017 & 2018), Platters and Tribute to Elvis (2017)Tony Christie live in Sri Lanka (2018),Tribute to John Denver and Neil Diamond (2018), Elton John experience (2019) .
DK Promotions have also presented several reunion concerts such as The original Spitfires reunion concert in 2007 and Grace the show (2006)
DK Promotions has the honor of presenting farewell concerts of The Original Jetliners in 2013, Amazing Grace in 2018 and Super Golden Chimes in 2018.
DK Promotions also have the honor of presenting celebration concerts for Mignonne Fernando, Dalreen , Annesley Malawana, late Malcom Andree ,
Late Harold Senaviratne, Vijaya Corea, Ronnie & Corrine in concert and 100 Plus.

The maiden DVD production by DK Promotions was released in 2010 “Clarence Unplugged“ . This concert and the DVD not only opened the doors for multi talented band Marians it also broke records as the most watched DVD in Sri Lanka.
